Before setting up his own boutique firm in 2008, Phillip had worked as an employed solicitor for companies such as Deloitte, Woolworths IT Division, and Conway MacCallum (which later merged to become the firm now known as Diamond Conway Lawyers).
During that time, he gained a vast experience in advising clients, primarily in the areas of technology law, civil litigation, business, property and family law.
Throughout this time he has has a strong interest in Intellectual Property (IP) law. He believes it’s important to keep in mind the IP aspects in all matters, especially for commercial and litigation advice.
In 2008 Phillip established his own practice at Clarence Professional Chambers which now consists of over 400 lawyers. Since then, he has continued to advise clients in generally the same areas.
A growing part of his civil litigation practice is in the area of Wills, Estate, and Family Provisions Claim.
Phillip’s strengths include his people skills and practical approach to advising clients. In today’s business world, it’s not enough to advise you about the law.
It’s necessary to do this in a way that cuts through the jargon using plain English and guides you on how to apply that advice in your business and personal life.
Since 2017, Phillip has been a committee member of the NSW Society for Computers and the Law. From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the Litigation and Law Practice Committee of the NSW Law Society. In 2018 he was also a member of the Legal Technology Committee.
Since 2012 he has been a member of Management Committee for the City of Sydney Law Society. From 2015 to 2018 he served as its Honorary Secretary and in 2018 he was elected Vice President of the Society.
